This may be the hardest thing I've ever had to do.
If you know anything about me, you should know my recent obsession has been an actor. This 24-year-old NYC actor, Timothée Chalamet. I could go on all day about how he is such a talented actor. I could talk about how beautiful he is too. If you asked me for any movie recommendation, there is a 90% chance I would just recommend one of the movies he stars in.
In fact, I was going to make a blog post filled with move recommendations, but I realized something. The only movies I've seen in the last month are Timothée movies. So, instead, I'm going to rank them for you. (I apologize to my friends who have had to listen to me gush about him for the last few months...) 8. A Rainy Day in New York Honestly, I never saw it. I watched as many clips of it as I could. I know it has a great cast. Other than Timothée, it stars Selena Gomez, Elle Fanning, and Jude Law. Directed by Woody Allen, the movie was supposed to be released last year on Amazon Prime. However, after Woody Allen was exposed and had a lot of backlashes, Amazon basically canceled the project as far as I understand. Timothée also said he was ashamed of working with Woody Allen and did not even like the film. Therefore, it's last on the list. -- Not on any legal streaming platforms to watch
7. Miss Stevens
Miss Stevens is a movie about a group of theater kids who go to a weekend convention with their English teacher as the chaperone. Billy (Timothée's character) is the bi-polar, quiet, kid who goes with. He somehow falls in love with the English teacher, and honestly, I couldn't tell you how it goes. Overall, the plot is quite strange to me. Perhaps I need to watch it again. BUT, Timothée's acting abilities really shine through as Billy, which gives the movie some brownie points.

6. Hot Summer Nights Hot Summer Nights is a great movie. It's an A24 Production. A24 produces fantastic film, so you already know just by that that it will be at least decent. Timothée's character, Daniel, basically goes from this unknown kid to selling weed. He falls in love with the popular girl. It sounds cliché, but it really is not. Plus, Timothée is strangely hot in this movie, even though they try to make him look young and weird. -- Free on Amazon Prime Video
5. Lady Bird Lady Bird-- what a classic. Directed by Greta Gerwig, she really hit the jackpot when she put together Saorise Ronan and Timothée Chalamet. Timothée's character, Kyle, is the love interest in the movie, which is centered around the coming-of-age of Saorise's character. I think Timothée looks his best in this movie. He's an edgy, private schoolboy in a band. However, his character's personality... just isn't very nice. That is my ONLY complaint about this movie. Other than that, it is a masterpiece. -- Free on Amazon Prime Video
4. The King If you have a good attention span, The King is for you. Timothée plays King Henry V in this dramatic historical-fiction film. Personally, this movie really showcases Timothée's acting range. King Henry is forced to go from party boy, wanting nothing to do with the crown to become king in days. He has to shift from carelessness to trying to unite a whole kingdom. If you enjoy shows or movies like Game of Thrones, you will enjoy this movie. It premiered on Netflix last year, so it is a relatively new one. Overall, the movie is excellent as well. 10/10 would recommend. -- Netflix
3. Little Women
Once again, Greta Gerwig made the genius move to put back together Saorise Ronan and Timothée. Timothée stared as Laurie Lawerence in the latest adaptation of Little Women. Honestly, he is just adorable in this movie. His acting is, of course, immaculate. However, he is just the cutest in this movie. He made Laurie so lovable and really did that part justice. If you want to love Timothée, just watch this movie.

2. Call Me by Your Name Don't get me started on this movie. This is my all-time favorite movie. If you haven't heard of it by now, you probably live under a rock. It is about Elio (Timothée) falling in love with Oliver (Armie Hammer) in the summer of 1983 in Northern Italy while Oliver comes to live with Elio's family for "study abroad." I also read the book. The whole love story is breathtaking; it's genuinely about finding unfiltered love, real intimacy with someone else. Something which I feel is hard to find nowadays. Timothée executes the role of Elio so perfectly, you can't imagine Elio being played by anyone else, BUT Timothée. 12/10-- would HIGHLY recommend. -- Can pay to rent it or buy it on Amazon Prime Video (only $1.99 to rent)
1. Beautiful Boy One word: amazing. This movie truly is peak acting. It was released in 2018 on Amazon Prime Video. The reason I say that is because the film itself is totally based off of a true story. Nic Sheff and his father both wrote books discussing how they dealt with Nic's addiction to crystal meth. Meth usage is a serious topic because only a small percentage of users ever recover-- Nic is part of that small percentage. The whole movie follows Nic, played by Timothée, and his dad as they struggle to maintain a relationship. His dad is played by Steve Carrell. Timothée's acting skills really shine through as this movie is an emotional rollercoaster. Even he said in interviews how seriously he took this role to portray it correctly and that it affected him on and offset. Everyone on Earth should watch this film once to at least see the effects drug abuse has on not just the abuser, but everyone in their lives as well. This is Timothée's best movie. -- Free on Amazon Prime Video
