Who am I?

I'm not sure how to start this journey. I'm not good at beginning things. I am good a doing things, but I just find it hard to start. For example, I can clean if I want to. I just never know where to start. I think a lot of people struggle with that. When trying something new or just trying to start over, get a clean slate; you never know where you should begin. And when you do figure it out, how do you begin?

I guess I'll start this blog off by explaining who I am. I'm a junior at the University of Georgia, majoring in Advertising. I figured that it is time to try and get my life together. I haven't done much through college other than the bare minimum to make it through. Then I realized, I am graduating.. in a year? I've had a few small, unpaid local internships where I basically just do little grunt work every now and then. But, when it comes to getting a job after graduation, what did I have to show for myself? I have nothing to show someone and be like: THIS IS ME! That's where this blog comes into play. I decided since I enjoy writing and just communicating in general, I should have my own personal place to do that. I like doing other things too, like taking photos and graphic design stuff, which I'll showcase here as well. There are many things I like that I bet you'll see a post about or two. I like listening to music. A lot of music. I never really turn my music off, and if you know me personally, you know that is a true statement. I listen to just about anything, which is cliche to say. I like fashion. I don't have the budget for cool, awesome, trendy clothes usually, but I admire it. I love my family and friends. I've made some GREAT friends since I've been at UGA. I never thought I would find a group of friends that actually enjoy being around me, and I did! I guess I could give a shout-out to Kappa Delta now. I like to travel. I have traveled, but not nearly enough to satisfy me. I want to talk about serious topics as well. I want to share the struggles I have had and still have. I think it's important to talk about the hard stuff, not everything can be fun and games. Talking about dark things brings light to them. Of course, I'll probably bring up Harry Styles or Timothée Chalamet once or twice too. Or every post. This is me, apologizing in advance.

Those are just some "Greer Things." I named the site that because there are things I like, some things I do, and just things that happen to me that have been referred to as "Just Greer Things." It sounds like a playoff of the 2012 Tumblr trend of "Just Girly Things" (example below if you don't understand the reference),

but no, it's the only phrase I could think of to explain the random mess of content that will probably be posted here. I guess we all have to start somewhere! And I'm starting here. I hope you enjoy it.
